The new ’24 Speed Post’ service, which will be offered by India Post, would provide assured next-day delivery. The announcement was made by the Ministry of Communications on March 17. Guests will include Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and State Minister Dr. Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani during the launch ceremony, which will take place at Rang Bhawan Auditorium, Akashvani Bhawan.
The goal of the service is to improve express logistics in major metros; it will first be accessible in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata. The 24-hour option will be accompanied by a “48 Speed Post” service that guarantees D+2 delivery and features dedicated processing and expedited air transport.
Customers can enjoy a variety of benefits, including safe delivery using one-time passwords (OTPs), end-to-end tracking with SMS notifications, free bulk pickup, API connection, centralised billing, and BNPL options for business users. India Post’s superior delivery skills are reinforced by a money-back guarantee, which ensures reliability.
As part of the Advanced Postal Technology (APT) 2.0 initiative, the department has upgraded its parcel ecosystem, according to the ministry. This includes implementing real-time updates and enhancing last-mile delivery using Nodal Delivery Centres.
