On the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, Narendra Modi inaugurated the Samrat Samprati Museum at Gandhinagar’s Koba Tirth, which showcases India’s extensive spiritual and cultural legacy.
Built on the grounds of the Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra, this museum, which is dedicated to the memory of Samrat Samprati, houses artefacts pertaining to Jain culture and history.
The seven thematic wings of the building trace the cultural and historical development of Jainism. Over two thousand objects are kept there, including traditional artefacts, old manuscripts, sculptures, tiny paintings, and coins.
The museum is a cutting-edge cultural center that promotes itself as a resource for heritage tourism, teaching, and research through the use of digital and audiovisual components that increase visitor involvement.
Part of the Prime Minister’s larger commitments in Gujarat, this inauguration serves to reaffirm the government’s commitment to fostering cultural infrastructure and growth driven by tourism.
