Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) hosted a Hindi Essay Writing Competition on December 19, 2025, at University College, Mangaluru, aimed at promoting Hindi as an Official Language and fostering creative writing among degree students from colleges affiliated with Mangalore University.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Ganapathi Gowda, Principal of University College, who emphasized the importance of Hindi in administration and national integration. Devesh Dubey, General Manager (HR) of MRPL, reiterated the company’s commitment to enhancing the Official Language and supporting educational initiatives.
Dr. Lalit Singh Rajpurohit provided an overview of the program, which included several notable academics and officers. The competition attracted 147 students from various degree colleges across regions including Kundapura, Udupi, Mangaluru, Sullia, Puttur, and Coorg, receiving positive feedback and marking significant progress in promoting Hindi in official and educational contexts.
