MCL Brings Together Coal Consumers at Major Eastern Zone Meet in Odisha

Key stakeholders from the power and non-regulated (NR) sectors were brought together for an active and constructive interaction at the CIL Eastern Zone Coal Consumers Meet in Bhubaneswar, sponsored by Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL).

Coal producers and consumers from many industries were able to examine the performance of the coal supply, increase cooperation, and boost coordination during the meeting. Coal India Limited (CIL) Director (Marketing) Mukesh Choudhary and MCL Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) Uday Anant Kaole presided over the meeting.

 A.K. Behura, Director (Finance) of MCL,  A.K. Lakra, General Manager of M&S, S. Agarwal, General Manager of Quality Control,  K. Prabhakar, General Manager of IED/Market Research, and other senior representatives from CIL and MCL were among the senior officials present at the event. Shri Kaole emphasised MCL’s commitment to fulfilling increasing consumer demand and highlighted many consumer-focused initiatives while addressing the gathering. He underlined that the coal industry and its customers must work together in the long run to strengthen the country.

 Mukesh Choudhary emphasised the importance of maintaining open lines of communication and working together to guarantee transparent operations and effective management of coal supplies. The power and non-regulated sectors both valued MCL’s reliable coal supply, which was both plentiful and of high quality. They were pleased with the company’s progress and offered helpful criticism for the future.

The interactive discussions between MCL and its users deepened their trust, transparency, and dedication to a long-term cooperation. They also reaffirmed their commitment to a dependable coal supply and the growth of the sector.

At the end of the meeting, everyone involved committed to working together even more closely and performing at a higher level to satisfy India’s energy and industrial demands.
