Mauritius Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam lauded India’s continuous assistance and expertise in key sectors like health, education, renewable energy, infrastructure, and maritime security, stating it has tangibly improved Mauritians’ quality of life.
He acknowledged India’s special economic package and the elevation of bilateral ties to an enhanced strategic partnership. Discussions have led to MoUs in areas such as community development, energy, science, and marine research.
Both nations also discussed improving the double taxation avoidance treaty, police training, and India’s technical cooperation for surveillance of Mauritius’ exclusive economic zone. The Prime Minister emphasized that the relationship is guided by shared values and an enduring friendship.
