In an effort to improve both administrative oversight and field policing, the Uttar Pradesh government reorganised the Indian Police Service (IPS) cadre on Thursday, reassigning 12 officers from the 2019 and 2020 batches to various district police units and commissionerates. Following his elevation to the rank of superintendent of police (SP), Sagar Jain (IPS, RR 2019) has been transferred from his position as assistant superintendent of police (ASP), rural, Saharanpur, to that of deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Prayagraj commissionerate, as per the transfer order.
From ASP (east), Gonda, Manoj Kumar Rawat (IPS, RR 2020) has been moved to ASP (south), Sambhal. Transferring from ASP (city), Meerut to Bahraich in the same role is Ayush Vikram Singh (IPS, RR 2020).
Antariksh Jain was assigned ASP (rural), Bulandshahr fromMeerut, and Vinayak Gopal Bhosale was posted as ASP (city), Meerut, from Sitapur, both of whom were officers of the 2022 batch.
Among the commissionerates, Lipi Nagayach has been transferred from ACP, Ghaziabad, to ADCP, Varanasi, while Twinkle Jain, who was formerly the assistant commissioner of police (ACP) in Gautam Buddh Nagar, is now the additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP) in Lucknow. Rishabh Runwal moved from ACP, Lucknow, to ASP (Naxal), Sonbhadra, and Rajkumar Meena went from ACP, Prayagraj, to ASP (Naxal), Mirzapur. Starting from ASP (city east), Pratapgarh, Alok Kumar would be working instead of Sambhal. Mayank Pathak has been transferred from Aligarh to ASP (Rural), Saharanpur, while Ishan Soni has been transferred from ACP, Varanasi, to ASP, Jalaun.
Officers will likely take over in the coming days as a result of the moves, which are anticipated to take effect immediately.
