L&T Bags Rs 15,000 Crore Offshore Contract From ADNOC

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has solidified its role as a pivotal engineering and construction partner in the energy industry of the Middle East with the acquisition of an ultra-mega offshore contract from ADNOC Offshore, valued at over Rs 15,000 crore.

The hydrocarbon business vertical of L&T, LTEH, has been granted the contract. The project is part of L&T’s highest order category, which comprises contracts valued above Rs 15,000 crore, and is classified as a “ultra-mega” order.

The deal states that LTEH will be responsible for EPCI (engineering, procurement, construction, and installation) of ADNOC Offshore’s offshore facilities. The increase of output and the improvement of energy capacity in the UAE are intended outcomes of the planned offshore infrastructure development.

With a proven track record in complex offshore engineering and project execution across global energy markets, L&T is expected to put its experience to good use in this project.

The Gulf area is an important market for L&T’s energy industry, and this latest order further solidifies their presence there. Over the years, L&T has completed various offshore and onshore projects for ADNOC, an Abu Dhabi-based energy major, which has allowed the business to maintain its status as one of its most important international clients.

The Middle East is seeing a surge in investments in oil and gas infrastructure, which is opening up a lot of chances for engineering and construction firms that have experience working offshore, according to industry watchers.

L&T anticipates a significant improvement to their order book and revenue visibility as a result of the contract. The company’s long-term growth prospects is supported by its continuing acquisition of big domestic and foreign projects in the infrastructure, energy, defence, and technology sectors.

The victory also shows how competitive Indian engineering businesses are when it comes to carrying out massive energy projects around the world. With the Gulf states’ national oil firms speeding up their ambitions to expand their capacity, Indian contractors are becoming the go-to guys for complicated offshore projects.

Thanks to the ADNOC order, L&T has solidified its position as a market leader in hydrocarbon engineering and a key player in an area that attracts a disproportionate amount of international investment in energy. In addition to bolstering the company’s energy portfolio for future expansion, the project is anticipated to make a significant contribution to its international business pipeline.
