Infosys Reports 28% Q4 Profit Growth, Cuts Over 8,000 Jobs

The fourth quarter of FY26 was a banner one for IT services giant Infosys, as the company’s consolidated net profit increased 27.8 percent from the previous quarter to ₹8,501 crore. Profit rose 21% from ₹7,033 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year, as compared on a year-on-year basis.

Amidst an uncertain global macroeconomic climate, the company’s operational stability and sustained demand for digital services are highlighted by the robust earnings growth. Steady transaction wins across important markets and higher profitability drove sequential growth.

Though the company’s headcount fell during the quarter, indicating a cautious approach toward workforce optimisation in light of changing industry conditions, Infosys’ performance shows that its key business areas are still going strong.
