HR Excellence Honoured: NHPC Limited Bags CII Award for 2025–26

Awarded the CII HR Excellence Award for 2025-26 for its “Significant Achievement in HR Excellence” is Navratna firm NHPC Limited, a Government of India undertaking.

At the 16th CII National HR Excellence Award Confluence 2025-26 in Mumbai on March 11, 2026, a group of NHPC executives, including R.T. Nathan, Executive Director (HR), and Anish Gouraha, Executive Director, Salal Power Station, were presented with the accolades. The Confederation of Indian Industry established the award to honour businesses that have excellent human resources policies and procedures. Staff upskilling, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) interventions, diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) programmes, HR system digitisation, and employee engagement activities were among NHPC’s recognised initiatives.

In light of the ever-changing nature of business, NHPC Chairman and Managing Director Bhupender Gupta commended the HR department’s work and urged that it maintain its emphasis on employee skill development and the adoption of industry best practices.

Director (Personnel) Uttam Lal extended his congratulations to staff members on the award’s continued success, saying that the company’s advancement to an upgraded category is a testament to its efforts to improve its human resources processes and systems.
