Government Extends PLI Scheme Deadline for White Goods Manufacturing to Oct 14

The government has reopened the application window for the Production-Linked Incentive #PLIScheme for #WhiteGoods (Air Conditioners and LED lights) from September 15 to October 14, 2025.

This decision is based on industry demand for further investment and increased confidence in domestic component manufacturing. So far, 83 applicants have been selected, committing ₹10,406 crore under the ₹6,238 crore scheme, which runs through FY 2028-29.

Both new applicants and existing beneficiaries looking to increase investment or switch to higher target segments are eligible, with incentives for these groups generally capped at a maximum of two years, subject to specific conditions.

The initiative aims to bolster manufacturing across the complete value chain, including components not yet sufficiently produced in India.
