For the second India-Arab Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (IAFMM), which is set for January 31, foreign ministers from various nations have arrived in New Delhi.
Key figures participating include Libya’s Foreign Minister Eltaher S. M. Elbaour, Somalia’s Abdisalam Ali, and League of Arab States Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
The significance of these visits in strengthening the bilateral ties between India and the respective states was underlined by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The gathering also seeks to expand on the partnership that was formed at the first meeting in Bahrain ten years ago, wherein five main sectors were identified: media, culture, education, energy, and the economy.
The forthcoming talks demonstrate a dedication to bolstering the India-Arab alliance in a number of areas, which was established in a Memorandum of Understanding between India and the League of Arab States in March 2002.
