India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar emphasized the significance of the partnership between India and the Netherlands during a meeting with Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel in New Delhi.
Jaishankar highlighted bilateral and European Union (EU) relations, particularly as India enters a crucial phase in Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations with the EU.
He acknowledged recent agreements that have enhanced cooperation and expressed optimism about the strategic partnership in various sectors, including water, agriculture, health, science, technology, and shipping.
Jaishankar pointed out emerging areas like semiconductors, digital technology, cyberspace, and life sciences as opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations. Van Weel’s visit aims to further deepen India-Netherlands ties, as noted by the Ministry of External Affairs.
