On March 30, 2026, the 81st Staff Course at DSSC, Wellington was addressed by Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, via video conference.
In their address, the CNS emphasised India’s long history of maritime dominance and the ongoing efforts to modernise the Indian Navy so that it can better fulfil the goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat and become a formidable fighting force.
He spoke on new developments in naval warfare and how important the Indian Navy is to protecting the country’s maritime interests. He went on to say that the Navy is ready to take on any task, no matter how unusual.
