Apple India recorded its highest-ever September quarter revenue in fiscal 2026, reflecting strong performance across iPhone upgrades, Mac sales and Services. CEO John Ternus shared the development during the company’s fiscal 2026 fourth-quarter earnings call, covering the quarter ended 26 September 2026.
Ternus said Apple achieved September quarter revenue records across the Americas, Europe, Greater China and the rest of Asia-Pacific. India also recorded an all-time revenue high during the period.
Apple India Records Highest-Ever iPhone Upgraders
Ternus said India recorded its highest-ever September quarter number of iPhone upgraders, alongside the US and mainland China. Globally, iPhone revenue reached $57.6 billion, registering 17% year-on-year growth despite supply constraints and foreign exchange headwinds.
He also highlighted Apple’s launch of Apple Pay in India in partnership with Axis Bank, extending the company’s digital payment service to the market.
According to Tarun Pathak, Research Director at Counterpoint Research, India featured across several key business indicators, including record iPhone upgraders and all-time revenue records for Mac and Services. He attributed Apple’s momentum to consumer aspirations, easier financing, trade-in offers, wider retail distribution and local manufacturing.
Pathak said the iPhone 17 was India’s top-shipped smartphone model in Q3, while the MacBook Neo recorded a strong sales quarter. He also noted that Apple’s average selling price in India crossed $1,000 during the quarter, despite a year-on-year decline in iPhone shipments.
Mac and Services Add to Apple’s Global Growth
Apple CFO Kevan Parekh said the active installed base of iPhones reached an all-time high. The company also recorded its best year for iPhone upgraders globally and in markets including India, the US, mainland China and Japan.
Global Mac revenue stood at $10.8 billion, up 24% year-on-year, supported by demand for MacBook Neo and MacBook Pro. Services revenue reached an all-time high of $31.6 billion, registering 10% growth. India was among the markets that reported record Services revenue.
Apple India Looks Beyond iPhone Sales
The September quarter performance highlights Apple’s growing presence in India across multiple product and service categories. Its business in the country is extending beyond iPhone sales, with Mac and Services also contributing to the company’s performance.
Pathak expects this shift towards a broader ecosystem market to accelerate in 2027 and beyond as Apple’s installed base expands. Demand for premium devices, financing options, local manufacturing and a wider retail network are among the factors supporting the company’s presence in India.
