AI Summit: India Sets Guinness World Record with Over 2.5 Lakh AI Responsibility Pledges

During a 24-hour AI Responsibility Pledge campaign that began on February 16, 2026, India gathered 2,50,946 pledges, making it a record holder.

The achievement was announced at the India AI Impact Summit, with the campaign promoting the ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence. Participants further received digital badges and engaged with key principles, including data privacy, accountability, and transparency.

Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted the importance of responsible AI, The initiative’s success is credited with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of using technology to improve society. The campaign overwhelmingly surpassed its initial target of 5,000 pledges**, demonstrating strong public engagement in responsible AI adoption across the nation.
