Adani Electricity and Foundation Empower Women Entrepreneurs Through Swateja Mart

Adani Electricity, in partnership with the Adani Foundation, announced the success of its Swateja Mart initiative, which enabled women entrepreneurs to achieve sales of Rs 2.7 lakh during the ‘Maha Mela’ held from September 21 to 28.

This initiative facilitated a platform for women from Entrepreneurial Self-Help Groups (ESHGs) to showcase and sell their products at various locations, enriching their financial livelihoods and boosting their confidence. Part of the ‘Swabhimaan’ project, it provided over 4,500 women with opportunities and training in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business skills.

Since its inception, the project has generated credit linkages of Rs 4.81 crore for self-help groups, resulting in over 500 women starting their own businesses and an average income increase of 29 percent. This initiative exemplifies a commitment to sustainable community development and women’s empowerment.
