By improving their worldwide risk rating from “Average” to “Above Average,” IndianOil Refineries have further solidified their position as a leader in industrial safety, operational reliability, and asset integrity.
This is a huge step forward for India’s downstream energy sector, since the improved rating puts IndianOil’s refining network in the second-highest global risk category.
Acknowledgement came after a comprehensive yearly risk assessment by a group of international risk engineers headed by world-renowned specialist Wim Matthys.
The thorough assessment examined the operational resilience, safety systems, and risk management protocols of IndianOil’s primary refining assets in Paradip, Gujarat, and Haldia.
These risk assessments are essential to IndianOil’s mammoth insurance program, which is one of the biggest corporate insurance placements in the nation, according to the corporation.
The global engineering group that oversaw IndianOil’s refinery operations gave high marks for the company’s commitment to safety and how it has grown over the years, with the help of well-organised procedures.
According to IndianOil, the enhanced risk profile is a result of digital dashboards that monitor crucial safety indicators in real-time and the installation of frameworks for Process Safety Management (PSM).
Global auditors did not provide any new corporate suggestions during the current inspection cycle, highlighting the maturity of the company’s risk management systems, according to the corporation.
Executives and representatives from the HSE, FINANCE, Technical Services, and M&I departments gathered at the Refineries Headquarters for a Risk Inspection Close-out Meeting to examine the assessment results.
In their report, worldwide risk experts offered suggestions and insights that IndianOil might use to bolster its industrial systems, streamline its operating processes, and raise the bar for reliability and safety.
According to IndianOil, the rating increase is a result of the company’s proactive safety management efforts and the most recent international validation of its main refining centers. This further solidifies IndianOil’s status as a world-class energy and refining firm.
