India and South Korea Adopt ‘Joint Strategic Vision’ to Elevate Special Strategic Ties through 2030

On Monday, Lee Jae Myung and Narendra Modi had extensive bilateral discussions at Hyderabad House with an emphasis on growing collaboration in important strategic and economic areas.

In addition to improving interpersonal and cultural contacts, the topics of discussion included trade, financial services, shipbuilding, artificial intelligence, energy, semiconductors, defense, and critical and emerging technologies. The summit examined developments under the Special Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Korea and India and found new opportunities for cooperation.

Vikram Misri and S. Jaishankar were among the senior officials present at the negotiations.

President Lee demonstrated a common focus on sustainability before to the conference by planting a sapling as part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign.

Both leaders were present when several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) covering commerce and economy, shipbuilding and maritime cooperation, digital technologies, education, culture, and sports were exchanged after the discussions. These accords are anticipated to improve bilateral cooperation and open up new prospects for business and individuals in both nations, according to the Ministry of External Affairs.

Earlier in the day, Droupadi Murmu gave President Lee a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan after he and First Lady Kim Hea Kyung honored Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat.

The government has characterized President Lee’s three-day state visit to India as a major turning point in strengthening bilateral relations based on common democratic principles and growing economic cooperation.
