Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Delivers Three Warships to Indian Navy

Today, the Indian Navy received three frontline naval platforms—Dunagiri, Sanshodhak, and Agray—from Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE), marking a major achievement in indigenous military manufacture and in keeping with the government of India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat agenda.

In addition to reiterating its dedication to operational quality and efficiency, this groundbreaking accomplishment highlights GRSE’s improved execution capabilities, production capacity, and capacity to deliver numerous complex Naval platforms within matched deadlines. Dunagiri, Sanshodhak, and Agray bring the total number of warships built by GRSE to 118. Of these, 80 have been delivered to the Indian Navy. The Indian Navy’s 2nd Project 17A Frigate Dunagiri and 4th ASW SWC Agray were officially accepted for delivery by Rear Admiral Gautam Marwah, VSM, CSO (Tech), HQENC; the 4th Survey Vessel (Large) Sanshodhak was accepted by Cmde Shishir Dixit, CSO (Tech), HQSNC.

All three ships—Dunagiri, Sanshodhak, and Agray—were delivered at the same time, demonstrating GRSE’s competence in shipbuilding, project management, and the execution of complicated projects at the same time. The shipyard’s involvement in enhancing the capabilities of the Indian Navy in various operational missions is further strengthened by this.

Among the several warships under construction at GRSE at the moment are four ASW-SWCs, four Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessels, and one Project 17A Advanced Stealth Frigate. Thirty other boats, including thirteen export platforms, are also under construction at the shipyard. A highly esteemed contract for the production of five Next Generation Corvettes is also nearing completion at GRSE.
