NTPC Limited Bongaigaon Celebrates World Water Day with Tree Plantation Campaign

In celebration of World Water Day, the Bongaigaon branch of NTPC Limited held a number of events to highlight the company’s dedication to sustainability and community involvement. Project Head Arnab Maitra, along with other senior officials such as Anurag Gupta and Kumar Vikram, as well as staff and inhabitants of the township, took a commitment to use water responsibly to kick off the program.

The next step was a township-wide planting push that sought to foster environmental harmony and long-term viability. In addition to holding a staff quiz on water conservation topics and a drawing contest at a nearby government school, NTPC Bongaigaon also sought to engage the community through its outreach programs.

Employees’ loved ones were also encouraged to take part in sustainability efforts through a poster-making contest. At the organisational and personal levels, the firm stressed the significance of sustainable practices and collective action.

The project is in line with NTPC’s long-term plan for nation-building, which includes a focus on environmental stewardship and community-driven sustainability initiatives.
