Suzlon Energy Limited has been granted GAIL’s sixth repeat wind energy order, totalling approximately 100 MW, which signifies a significant milestone in GAIL’s shift towards renewable energy. This project will help GAIL achieve its projected decarbonisation goals for its petrochemical plants and will be carried out in the Nandurbar district of Maharashtra.
With this order, Suzlon has become an increasingly important player in India’s public sector renewable energy economy, and it is also its fourth PSU project in FY26. It is with great pleasure that we announce the continuation of our robust 15-year collaboration with GAIL’, stated Ajay Kapur, CEO of Suzlon Group. This order is our first project in the state of Maharashtra, following our work in Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Suzlon’s comprehensive renewable energy solution capabilities are demonstrated by the fact that PSU and C&I projects now make up more than 64% of our order book.
This project further solidifies Suzlon’s commitment to public-private partnerships, establishing the company as the go-to provider of renewable energy solutions in India and contributing to the country’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions and meet clean energy targets.
