REC Limited Invests ₹11.56 Crore in Eye Care Project for Saharsa, Bihar

Sankara Eye Hospital in Saharsa will receive clinical and non-clinical equipment thanks to ₹11.56 crore allocated by REC Limited as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

Improved access to high-quality eye care services and a more robust healthcare infrastructure are two primary goals of the allocated funds. As a result of this initiative, Sankara Eye Hospital will be better able to serve the people of Saharsa and the surrounding areas with specialised eye care.

Pradeep Fellows and V. Shankar signed a MoA at the SCOPE Complex office of REC Limited on March 9, 2026.

Affordable eye care services for economically disadvantaged sections are projected to be a primary emphasis of the effort, which aims to expand the availability of advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities.

With this investment, REC Limited furthers its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts in the healthcare industry, lending its support to projects that enhance medical infrastructure and provide underprivileged areas with better access to high-quality healthcare.
