NTPC Limited’s Bongaigaon Plant Marks 55th National Safety Day with Safety Awareness Drive

In celebration of the 55th annual National Safety Day, NTPC Bongaigaon launched a number of programmes to raise awareness about the importance of safety and encourage strict adherence to operational protocols in all areas of the company. Project Head Arnab Maitra, who stressed the need for strictly adhering to safety standards in plant operations, unfurled the Safety Flag and administered the Safety Pledge to open the event.

Anurag Gupta, general manager of operations and maintenance, and members from the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) emphasised once again that all employees and contract workers must do their part to keep the workplace safe. Sessions on identifying hazards, best practices for safety, and proactive risk mitigation were part of the celebration. To further encourage people to follow safety protocols, we also held competitions and handed out rewards for outstanding safety performance.

Over 200 employees, CISF personnel, and colleagues from NTPC Bongaigaon took part in the project, which showcases the company’s ongoing commitment to safety culture and operational excellence.
