The Aeronautical Development organization (ADA), the lead organization under the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) for India’s domestic Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) program, and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) have deepened their strategic partnership.
BHEL has been given important new mandates for next-generation platforms, building on its successful supply of Compact Heat Exchangers for the LCA Tejas Mk1, Mk1A, and Mk2.
ADA has granted BHEL project approval orders under the enlarged partnership for:
Creation of cutting-edge Pump Modules for the Liquid Cooling System (LCS), a crucial part of the Environmental Control System (ECS), for the 5th-Generation Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) and the LCA Mk2.
Fuel coolers and compact heat exchangers are supplied especially for the AMCA program.
This partnership highlights BHEL’s engineering prowess and its expanding contribution to fostering domestic innovation in India’s defence aerospace industry. The company’s dedication to providing vital systems that enhance national security capabilities is demonstrated by its increased involvement with ADA.
