The Kusmunda Open Cast Project (OCP) was visited by Franklin Jayakumar, Director (Technical) Operations, in order to assess the progress of infrastructure development projects and mining operations. While on site, Jayakumar oversaw a comprehensive review meeting with all HODs, during which they discussed infrastructure development projects, major operational difficulties, and practical solutions to meet project deadlines. In order to keep the production momentum going, the focus was on reducing operational complexity and eliminating bottlenecks.
Throughout these checks, he checked in on the status of ongoing mining operations, safety procedures, and other related matters. All areas of mining were expected to adhere to the strictest regulations for operational efficiency and safety.
Jayakumar also checked out the TSR Camp and the Rehabilitation & Resettlement (R&R) site to get a feel for the situation. To demonstrate the organization’s dedication to the well-being of its stakeholders, he gave the essential orders to upgrade facilities and improve inhabitants’ living conditions generally.
As the trip shows, the top brass at Coal India still considers operational excellence, safety, and community welfare to be the most important aspects of their mining operations.
