Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) has awarded ACME Solar Holdings Limited a 220 MW solar power project at the Morena Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh, India. The project would include a battery energy storage system (BESS).
The 440 MW tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) procurement, which included the project, was put out by RUMSL in September 2025. The e-reverse auction was held in the same month. The per-unit rate that ACME Solar’s project was granted is ₹2.764. With a maximum CUF of 35% and an annual availability of 95%, the project incorporates four hours of peak power supply per day, divided evenly between morning and evening peaks. The developer will have much less execution risk thanks to RUMSL’s land and evacuation infrastructure above 33 kV. As India moves toward clean energy 24/7, this project will help ACME Solar solidify its place in the growing market for storage-backed power solutions and hybrid renewable energy. Maintaining industry-leading CUF and operating margins, ACME Solar effectively delivers projects with its in-house EPC and O&M competence. The award is a testament to the increasing trust in renewable projects that incorporate storage. These projects are anticipated to be essential in achieving grid stability, managing peak demand, and India’s long-term clean energy objectives.
