India has introduced the Responsible Nations Index (RNI), a novel paradigm that assesses nations not just on the basis of economic might but also on their ethical governance, duty to their inhabitants, and environmental stewardship.
The programme, which was created by the World Intellectual Foundation with support from organisations like JNU and IIM Mumbai, places a strong emphasis on moral responsibility and sustainable international relations.
During the launch event, former President Ram Nath Kovind emphasised the significance of this change from a power-centric to a responsibility-centric approach. In order to foster a worldwide conversation on responsible nationhood and sustainable futures, the ceremony featured expert conversations between scholars and officials.
