GeM Workshop Focuses on Integrity and Transparency in Procurement

A workshop on Government e-Marketplace (GeM) procurement procedures was held on November 7, 2025, during Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, organized by NLC India Limited.

Approximately 100 senior executives attended, including participants from outstation projects via video conference.

Thiru. Appakannu Govindarajan, CVO, emphasized adapting to changes in the ecosystem and enhancing internal procurement mechanisms to improve NLCIL’s national standing. Executive Directors discussed the need for better purchasing processes.

Thiru. Jayavadivel Raja from GeM provided updates on the procurement portal and clarified various processes, while Tmt. R. Latha welcomed the attendees. The workshop underscored NLCIL’s commitment to transparent and ethical procurement practices.
