At the 28th Energy Technology Meet 2025 in Hyderabad, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) signed three significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at enhancing its growth strategy in refining, petrochemicals, green energy, and logistics.

The first MoU with Oil India Limited (OIL) focuses on developing a Greenfield Refinery and Petrochemical Complex in Andhra Pradesh, with an investment of ₹1 lakh crore and a refining capacity of 9–12 Million Metric Tons Per Annum (MMTPA), expected to be operational by FY 2030.
The second tripartite MoU with OIL and Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) involves constructing a 700-km product pipeline from Siliguri to Mughalsarai, enhancing petroleum product evacuation.
Lastly, BPCL partnered with Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) for the supply of organic manure from a Compressed Biogas Plant, supporting sustainable agriculture.
These agreements underscore BPCL’s commitment to advancing India’s energy security and sustainability in alignment with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.
