The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has signed its 100th Technology Transfer Agreement with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) to enable HAL to independently produce Small Satellite Launch Vehicles (SSLVs).
The agreement, facilitated by IN-SPACe and involving NSIL, will see ISRO transfer SSLV know-how, including training and technical support, to HAL over 24 months. This initiative is designed to boost India’s space technology capabilities, meet global demand in the small-satellite launch market, and strengthen the domestic space industrial ecosystem, allowing HAL to serve both Indian and international clients.
