ONGC Hazira Clears Scrap Under Campaign 6.0

ONGC Hazira Plant has realised ₹46.95 lakh through the disposal of accumulated scrap as part of the Government of India’s Special Campaign 6.0, observed from October 2 to 31, 2026. The initiative focused on improving workplace cleanliness, reclaiming space and optimising resource utilisation through systematic scrap identification, clearance and disposal.

ONGC Hazira Generates Revenue Through Scrap Disposal

The plant generated ₹27.75 lakh from the disposal of burnt oil drums and ₹19.20 lakh from plastic drums, taking the total revenue realised to ₹46.95 lakh.

Alongside revenue generation, the drive aimed to clear accumulated scrap, reclaim valuable space and strengthen waste management practices at the facility. The initiative also supported better organisation of work areas and more efficient use of available resources.

Special Campaign 6.0 Focuses on Cleanliness and Resource Management

The initiative reflects ONGC’s efforts to link workplace cleanliness with operational efficiency and responsible resource management. By converting accumulated scrap into economic value, ONGC Hazira Plant has demonstrated how disposal activities can contribute to both space optimisation and improved waste management.

The drive forms part of the broader objectives of Special Campaign 6.0, which encourages government organisations to improve cleanliness, clear pending matters and make more effective use of available resources.
