IGL Conducts BBS Workshop for Senior Leaders

Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has conducted a Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) Leadership Alignment Workshop for its senior leadership team as part of its efforts to strengthen safety practices across its operations.

International safety culture expert Mr. Nick Wharton, Foreign Associate of the British Safety Council, guided the session. Senior executives discussed the principles of Behaviour-Based Safety, proactive hazard identification and practical leadership actions to integrate safety more deeply into everyday operations.

IGL Focuses on Behaviour-Based Safety

IGL emphasises that safety is a responsibility that begins at the leadership level. When leaders consistently demonstrate and reinforce safe behaviours, employees are more likely to adopt these practices across the organisation.

The workshop highlighted the role of leadership in identifying potential hazards, encouraging safe conduct and making safety an integral part of routine operational activities.

Building a Stronger Safety Culture

The session forms part of IGL’s broader efforts to develop a stronger and more consistent safety culture throughout its operations. By aligning leadership around Behaviour-Based Safety principles, the company aims to reinforce the importance of proactive hazard identification and everyday safety practices.
