BEL GoSuraksha MoU for Sovereign Secure Digital Identity Solution

BEL GoSuraksha MoU will enable Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and GoSuraksha Infotech Private Limited to co-develop a sovereign Secure Digital Identity solution for government and public sector customers.

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) and GoSuraksha Infotech Private Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the co-development of a sovereign Secure Digital Identity solution.

The collaboration will combine BEL’s design, manufacturing and software capabilities with GoSuraksha’s patented digital identity platform, DigiSuraksha.

BEL GoSuraksha MoU Covers Digital Identity Technology

Under the BEL GoSuraksha MoU, the companies will work towards porting the DigiSuraksha application onto computing devices manufactured by BEL.

The companies will then jointly explore and market the integrated sovereign identity solution to government and public sector customers.

GoSuraksha provides tamper-proof trusted IDs through a patented solution that creates an encrypted QR code containing the user’s face vector. The solution is offered under the brand name DigiSuraksha.

BEL and GoSuraksha Combine Technology Capabilities

BEL has extensive design and manufacturing capabilities across mechanical, electronics and software domains. The company also has a wide marketing and customer outreach network.

GoSuraksha brings capabilities in DigiSuraksha identity issuance and verification. Its platform is designed to support secure digital identity applications.

The collaboration aims to combine these complementary capabilities to develop an integrated sovereign identity solution for government and public sector requirements.

BEL GoSuraksha MoU Targets Government and PSU Customers

The BEL GoSuraksha MoU focuses on business facilitation and technological innovation. The companies will work together on product integration, project governance and operational management.

The collaboration will also leverage BEL’s manufacturing capabilities and marketing outreach along with GoSuraksha’s expertise in strategic government relations and digital identity solutions.

MoU Exchanged by BEL and GoSuraksha Officials

The MoU was exchanged between Anoop Kumar Rai, Director (Marketing), BEL, and Nikhil Kothary, Director, GoSuraksha Infotech Private Limited.

The exchange took place in the presence of Lt. Cdr. (Retd.) Pawan Desai, CEO, Mitkat Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd. (MIGS); Anil Kumar Singh, General Manager, Strategic Planning, Corporate Office, BEL; Ruchi Pant, General Manager, Technology Planning, Corporate Office, BEL; and Hemavathy Muthuswamy, General Manager, NWCS SBU, BEL Bengaluru Unit.

The collaboration is aimed at developing and taking a sovereign digital identity solution to government and public sector customers.
