HDFC Bank CCO: V. N. Srivatsan Appointed as Chief Compliance Officer

HDFC Bank appoints V. N. Srivatsan as Chief Compliance Officer for three years, effective January 4, 2027, following the completion of Rakesh Kumar Rajput’s tenure.

HDFC Bank Limited has appointed V. N. Srivatsan as Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) for a period of three years.

The Bank informed the stock exchanges on September 30, 2026, about the change in its Chief Compliance Officer position.

HDFC Bank CCO Appointment

The Board of Directors approved the appointment of V. N. Srivatsan as Chief Compliance Officer based on the recommendations of the Audit Committee and the Governance, Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

Srivatsan is scheduled to join HDFC Bank on January 4, 2027.

Until he joins, Venkateswaran L, currently Compliance Head – Credit, Asset Product & Regulatory Reporting, will hold the responsibility of Chief Compliance Officer.

Rakesh Kumar Rajput Completes Tenure

Rakesh Kumar Rajput has completed his three-year tenure as Chief Compliance Officer and ceased to hold the position at the close of business hours on September 30, 2026.

He will continue as a full-time employee of HDFC Bank.

Profile of V. N. Srivatsan

V. N. Srivatsan has approximately 34 years of professional experience, including around 25 years in the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector.

He also has nearly 10 years of experience in compliance and regulatory inspection.

Srivatsan is currently serving as Head – Compliance: Overseas Banking and Subsidiaries & Data Privacy Officer at ICICI Bank Limited.

His appointment will take effect from January 4, 2027, subject to the applicable regulatory requirements.
