NTPC Group capacity has reached 91,302 MW after NTPC Green Energy declared commercial operation of 81.34 MW from the Kalasar Solar Energy Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
NTPC Group capacity has crossed 91,000 MW after NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) declared commercial operation of the first part capacity of 81.34 MW from the Kalasar Solar Energy Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The commercial operation started at 00:00 hours on September 26, 2026.
The 81.34 MW capacity forms part of the 650 MW solar component under the 500 MW REMCL Round-the-Clock (RTC) Project of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited.
NTPC Renewable Energy Limited is a step-down subsidiary of NTPC through NGEL.
NTPC Group Capacity Reaches 91,302 MW
Following the latest solar capacity addition, the NTPC Group capacity stands at 91,302 MW on an installed basis.
The group’s commercial capacity stands at 90,222 MW.
The latest capacity addition also increases the installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Group.
NTPC Green Energy Capacity Rises After Solar COD
The NTPC Green Energy Group now has commercial capacity of 10,977.23 MW.
Its installed capacity has increased to 11,058.57 MW following the addition of the 81.34 MW solar capacity.
The Kalasar Solar Energy Project is located in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
NTPC Discloses Capacity Addition Under SEBI Regulations
NTPC informed the stock exchanges about the commercial operation of the solar capacity.
The disclosure has been made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The latest commercial operation further expands NTPC Group’s renewable energy capacity and takes its overall installed capacity beyond the 91,000 MW mark.
