India Hosts 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi
India is hosting the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The summit brings together leaders from BRICS member and partner countries, along with outreach invitees.

India’s Fourth BRICS Chairship
India assumed its fourth BRICS Chairship on January 1, 2026. The country previously chaired the grouping in 2012, 2016 and 2021.
The year 2026 also marks 20 years since the establishment of BRICS. India has used its Chairship to expand engagement across different sectors and regions.
More than 350 meetings and high-level engagements have been organised across more than 25 cities during the Chairship.
These engagements have focused on three major pillars: political and security cooperation, economic and financial cooperation, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
