Dr. Pallavi Jain Govil, Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, handed the award to Shri Bikram Ghosh, Director (Finance & HR), WCL. Ghosh accepted the honour on the company’s behalf. 150 Internship Opportunities in Third PMIS Round
WCL has offered 150 internship positions in the third round of PMIS. The roles span key technical disciplines. Diploma in Mining Engineering candidates get 45 positions. Graduate in Mining Engineering candidates get 25 positions. Graduate in Electrical Engineering and ITI Electrician candidates get 80 positions. The programme carries special value for youth in interior coalfield areas. These regions often lack easy access to training and career opportunities.
Stipend and Benefits Support Interns
WCL has revised the PMIS stipend to ₹9,000 per month. Interns also receive applicable leave, free OPD services and access to subsidised mine canteens. These benefits create a supportive learning environment. WCL said the programme reflects its commitment to skill development, youth empowerment and building an industry-ready workforce.
