Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development Savitri Thakur has congratulated renowned solo cyclist, endurance athlete and mountaineer Aasha Malviya for successfully completing an 8,500-km solo cycling expedition across India.

The remarkable journey stretched from the westernmost part of the country to Kibithu in Arunachal Pradesh, carrying a message of women’s empowerment, patriotism, and resilience. The expedition showcased determination and endurance while encouraging women to pursue their goals without fear.

Sharing her appreciation in a post on X, Savitri Thakur described the achievement as an inspiring example of courage and commitment. She said Aasha Malviya’s journey reflects the strength and confidence of women who continue to break barriers and set new benchmarks.
