As a result of technical issues reported by OpenAI, several enterprise services, including Codex, workspace analytics, conversation search, Custom GPT search, user invites, and compliance log downloads within FedRAMP workspaces, were temporarily unavailable to ChatGPT users worldwide on Tuesday.
Between 1 and 2 pm, reports of service outages spiked, with around 75% of complaints associated with ChatGPT, according to Downdetector. Multiple OpenAI services were impacted by the outage, as further reports indicated that it affected DALL-E and the ChatGPT mobile app.
OpenAI has stated that FedRAMP workspaces were the main regions affected by the disruption. Codex, workspace analytics, conversation search, Custom GPT search, ChatGPT user invites, and the Compliance Logs Platform download endpoint may all be offline for users, according to the business.
Later on, OpenAI sent an update announcing that basic ChatGPT functionality was back up and running, so most users should be good to go. But, engineers were hard at work on a full repair, and the business did acknowledge that certain FedRAMP-specific services were still having technical challenges.
There has never been a more critical moment for developers, companies, and government agencies to have access to AI-powered productivity solutions than right now. Software development, collaboration, and organisational workflows are becoming increasingly dependent on cloud-based artificial intelligence platforms; even brief service disruptions can have a significant impact.
