UIDAI Brings Aadhaar Centres to Google Maps for Public Convenience

In an effort to make Aadhaar services more accessible and convenient for people all around India, Google and the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) have joined together to bring approved centres for the programme to the forefront of Google Maps.

Residents will be able to find Aadhaar centres more easily thanks to this initiative, which categorises them according to the services they offer, such as those for adults, children, or just address and cell updates. In order to provide residents with even more convenience, we will also publish any information relating to the centre’s accessibility, such as divyang-friendly infrastructure, the availability of parking facilities, and working hours, when applicable.

Over 60,000 Aadhaar centres, including cutting-edge Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs), are available to residents of the country, and the partnership is likely to improve and ease public convenience, fight disinformation, and guarantee seamless access.

Users will be routed to certified Aadhaar centres when they search on Google Maps. To maintain an open and accommodating service ecosystem, UIDAI will utilise Google Business Profile in the next stage of the partnership to handle centre information and reply directly to customer comments.
