Road Safety Takes Center Stage as NLC India Limited Kicks Off National Safety Month 2026

At its corporate office on March 7, NLC India Limited marked National Safety Month 2026, reiterating its dedication to safety in the workplace and the community.

This year’s topic for the annual nationwide campaign is “Engage, Educate and Empower People to Enhance Safety”. It starts on March 4, the same day as the National Safety Council’s founding day.

As a sign of the organisation’s dedication to health, safety, and environmental preservation throughout its activities, the Safety Flag was hoisted on the corporate headquarters lawn by Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director of NLC India Limited, to begin the event.

In his welcome speech, Executive Director (Safety) Hemant Kumar earlier emphasised the significance of staff engagement and ongoing safety awareness in maintaining a risk-free workplace.

Attendees renewed their dedication to safety on the job and in other aspects of their lives by taking the Safety Pledge during the event. Top authorities, including the Director (Mines) and Chief Vigilance Officer, delivered the promise in English, Hindi, and Tamil.

Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, in his talk, stressed the importance of proactive safety procedures, rigorous compliance with safety protocols, and increased employee knowledge in order to fortify the safety culture of the organisation.

A vote of gratitude given by M. Subramanian, Chief General Manager, Corporate Safety, marked the end of the event.
