PNGRB Holds First National Consumer Conclave on Oil & Gas Rights

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) hosted its 1st National Consumer Conclave in New Delhi, focusing on consumer empowerment and transparency in the Oil & Gas sector.

The event, attended by government officials, industry leaders, and advocacy groups, aimed to create a consumer-first energy ecosystem. Inaugurated by Ratan P. Watal, key discussions highlighted the Board’s shift to a consumer-driven regulatory environment, emphasizing trust, accountability, and transparency.

Key sessions featured recommendations for standardized grievance redressal, insights from regulatory models, and industry-consumer dialogues, addressing issues such as CNG consumer wait times and LPG complaints. The Board concluded by stressing the need for ongoing stakeholder engagement to ensure consumer input shapes India’s natural gas sector.
