Several development projects in Delhi, valued at approximately ₹33,500 crore, were launched and had their foundation stone laid by PM Narendra Modi on Saturday. These initiatives aim to improve the quality of life for Delhi residents by enhancing infrastructure, increasing metro connectivity, and constructing new buildings.
In his address to the public, the prime minister stated that the initiatives will revitalise Delhi’s development and assist in making the city a cutting-edge, internationally connected metropolis. The projects’ expansion of the Delhi Metro network is a major highlight because it will greatly increase connectivity across the capital.
According to the prime minister, the new metro section that opened today would improve the quality of life for countless commuters, especially those living in East and North-East Delhi, by making their daily commutes easier and faster.
The expansion of the capital’s metro network to approximately 375 kilometres, he said, makes it one of the world’s largest urban metro systems. Prime Minister Modi has stated that the government is striving to give people with modern, clean, and comfortable transportation options, focusing on improvements to public transportation.
Modern housing complexes for government personnel were opened earlier in the day during the Prime Minister’s visit to Sarojini Nagar.
The government claims that the new housing complexes will offer thousands of workers who help run the country decent, secure, and well-appointed places to live.
