PM Modi Flags Off ₹2,700 Crore Infra and Welfare Projects in Puducherry

Several development projects in Puducherry, totalling more than Rs 2,700 crore, were launched and dedicated to the nation on Sunday by Narendra Modi. The foundation stone was also laid. Improving infrastructure, making life easier, and speeding up economic growth are the goals of the initiatives in the Union Territory.

An official statement from the Press Information Bureau (PIB Delhi) states that the prime minister used X to tease the audience with excerpts from his speech during the event.

“Delighted to be among the wonderful people of Puducherry,” Prime Minister Modi said, expressing his satisfaction at being in the coastal province. The region’s economic growth and the quality of life there will both be augmented by the several development projects that have just begun construction. Urban development, public services, infrastructure, and connectivity are all part of the development projects. The economic structure of Puducherry is expected to be strengthened by these measures, which would also improve municipal facilities for people.

The Prime Minister stressed that the initiatives demonstrate the administration’s ongoing dedication to comprehensive and equitable development throughout the states and union territories. He stressed that better infrastructure will increase investment, lead to more job possibilities, and boost people’s standard of living. Prime Minister Modi reaffirmed throughout his speech that enhancing the “ease of living” for people is still the government’s foremost objective. Improved public services, cutting-edge infrastructure, and environmentally responsible city expansion are all goals of the recently initiated initiatives.

In attendance during the ceremony were residents, officials, and local leaders; the event marked a watershed moment in Puducherry’s history of progress.

The union territory is anticipated to experience revolutionary growth in the next years, thanks to initiatives worth more than Rs 2,700 crore, which will support the federal government’s goal of equitable regional development.
