Maruti Suzuki India Limited reported a 3% increase in total sales for September, reaching 189,665 units, with record-high exports boosting the growth despite a decrease in domestic sales due to logistical issues.
Exports surged by 52% to 42,204 units, reflecting improved customer sentiment following GST reforms. Nissan Motor India also experienced strong sales growth of 9.3% year-on-year, with consolidated volumes of 10,500 units and record exports to South Asia.
The company’s sales benefited from reduced prices due to GST adjustments and festive demand. Additionally, Nissan is expanding its dealership network and introducing new models, including a 7-seater B-MPV and C-SUVs.
