India–United Kingdom Partnership to Boost Safety in the Green Hydrogen Sector

The National Green Hydrogen Mission in India is actively promoting green hydrogen as a clean energy source, and a conference was organised in the nation’s capital to further cooperation between the two countries on safety standards and regulatory frameworks for this energy.

According to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, the conference aimed at discussing the secure implementation of green hydrogen technology and brought together representatives from both nations’ governments, businesses, educational institutions, testing facilities, and research groups.

Production, storage, transportation, and final use of hydrogen were all topics of discussion, as were safety frameworks and regulatory processes.

The National Centre for Hydrogen Safety, which is part of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, together with the World Resources Institute India and the British High Commission in India, collaborated to host the event.

Mohammad Rihan, the National Institute of Solar Energy’s Director General, gave the opening comments at the first session.
