GRSE–Kongsberg Seminar Showcases Next-Gen Ship Powering and Marine Technology

A one-day technical seminar on “Ship Powering and Hydrodynamics” was hosted by Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) in partnership with Kongsberg Maritime at their Kolkata plant. The session served to emphasise GRSE’s commitment on advanced naval engineering and continual learning.

Experts from across the world in marine technology and India gathered for a symposium to discuss the future of naval and coast guard boats, specifically focusing on hydrodynamic performance and next-generation propulsion systems.

Kongsberg Maritime subject matter specialists, Indian Navy and Coast Guard representatives, classification societies, and GRSE’s design and production teams were all present at the conference. Participation in the seminar is indicative of GRSE’s persistence in its pursuit of technological advancement, professional growth, and international cooperation. In order to improve its technological capabilities and produce boats that match the greatest worldwide standards, GRSE is encouraging direct interaction between maritime professionals in India and specialists from around the world.

This project is in line with India’s larger objectives of becoming self-sufficient in defence manufacture and creating naval platforms that are both powerful and prepared for the future.
