In a move that would solidify its position in India’s industrial and manufacturing infrastructure sector, engineering and construction giant Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) has announced the acquisition of several new orders across the country for its Buildings & Factories (B&F) business vertical. An formal communication from the corporation was issued on March 27, 2026, to announce the development. An order to build a float glass factory in Gujarat has been received by L&T.
Civil works, structural steel, mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing, and any related exterior development are all part of the facility’s engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) scope. Investment in India’s manufacturing ecosystem and industrial materials has been sustained through this project. A prominent two-wheeler company in Andhra Pradesh has contracted L&T to build a cutting-edge manufacturing plant for their products.
The breadth of the project encompasses civil, structural steel, and architectural works, highlighting the increasing capacity expansion within the automobile industry. A number of add-on orders have been secured across existing contracts, and the company has also won new projects. These recurring orders show that clients have faith in L&T’s competence and that they can successfully complete projects, the company said.
