This initiative strengthens connectivity between Thailand and Uttar Pradesh, allowing travelers from Varanasi to access Bangkok and for tourists from Thailand to explore Varanasi and its nearby Buddhist sites.

The flights will operate every Sunday, departing Varanasi at 12:35 PM and arriving in Bangkok at 6:05 PM, with the return flight leaving Bangkok at 7:05 PM and reaching Varanasi at 9:35 PM.

Aloke Singh, Managing Director of Air India Express, highlighted that this new route enhances international access from growing Tier-II Indian cities and promotes tourism in Varanasi, known as India’s spiritual capital.

The airline already operates flights connecting Bangkok to Bengaluru, Lucknow, Pune, and Surat, and has a broad presence in Thailand with flights to Hyderabad and Phuket.

Air India Express is also revamping its passenger experience on Boeing 737-8 aircraft with upgraded cabin interiors, including better legroom, USB charging ports, and modern amenities designed for a more comfortable journey.

Additionally, the airline’s ‘Tales of India’ initiative aims to showcase India’s diverse artistic heritage through tail designs inspired by various regional crafts. This launch reflects the airline’s commitment to expanding its network and providing enhanced travel experiences.
