In a move aimed at accelerating India’s transition toward future mobility, JSW Motors has announced a strategic partnership with French technology major Dassault Systèmes to strengthen its digital capabilities for upcoming new energy vehicles (NEVs). As part of the collaboration, JSW Motors will deploy Dassault Systèmes’ advanced 3DEXPERIENCE platform as the core digital backbone across its vehicle development and manufacturing ecosystem.
The alliance aims to transform product development by enabling comprehensive digital integration—from design and engineering through manufacturing and lifecycle management. Adopting the platform is expected to bolster localisation by building domestic engineering strength and supporting a more robust automotive supply chain in India.
Additionally, JSW Motors is deploying a manufacturing execution system on the unified platform, enabling seamless digital continuity and real-time traceability throughout operations. Integrating virtual twin technologies is set to boost efficiency, drive innovation, and scale operations, helping the company manage the complexity of software-defined vehicles.
Company officials stated that the partnership supports JSW Motors’ goal of creating a technology-driven, globally competitive mobility ecosystem designed in India. The company is also in advanced negotiations with domestic suppliers to enhance localisation and reinforce India’s automotive value chain.
Industry observers note that such partnerships arrive at a pivotal moment, as India’s automotive sector undergoes major changes led by electrification and digitalisation. Leveraging international technology and emphasising domestic production, the collaboration is poised to position JSW Motors strongly in the evolving new-energy vehicle market.
